I’m not a big crepe guy – they’re fine, but I don’t generally go out of my way to order them. In this case, though, I wanted to get away from the sandwich/salad vortex and instead select something that felt uniquely Cafe Orleans. Hence: the crepe.
Turns out this was a good move.
The dish comes with the crepe (containing chicken, sausage, and ham), served atop a mound of pureed peas, with a side of sautéed vegetables, and dressed with “creole gumbo sauce” (a delicious accompaniment).
Everything was solid here. Disney claims that each crepe is made to order, and it tastes like it: every bite was light (not too chewy or dough-y), had a solid pop of flavor, and went down easy. The peas were super fresh, and served warm. And the vegetables were perfectly cooked, complementing the rest of the plate on both flavor and texture.
This is a well-balanced, tasty option. I would absolutely order this again, and certainly recommend it.
