I’ve written before about the Alfresco Tasting Terrace, a secluded, delightful little wine bar located above Wine Country Trattoria in California Adventure. It’s perfect for getting a glass of something and unwinding in the early afternoon. (And today, Bryce, Sharon, Elaine and I all decided that was exactly what we needed.)
The Tasting Terrace food menu is limited (roughly a half-dozen items), but they do offer some intriguing choices. Today, we tried Flatbread Two Ways.
This is a small, rectangular pizza. Getting it “two ways” means each half of the pizza has its own distinct set of ingredients. And conveniently, the flatbread has been pre-sliced – two cuts per half, for a total of four pieces. Perfect for sharing.
One half of our flatbread had goat cheese, arugula, fig and balsamic syrup; the other sported pesto, tomato, olive and bacon. This provided a terrific sweet/savory balance.
The ingredients are super fresh. The flavors all mingle perfectly. The crust is thin and sturdy. It feels vaguely decadent when you eat it, and the mouth feel is wonderful.
Oh, and it’s delicious.
This is an easy, easy recommend: tasty, high-quality, well-balanced. It’s hard to see how you can go wrong, here.
