One of the great joys of this whole project is finding a gem on a menu. In Real Life (when I’m not pushing myself to eat every unique thing in the parks), I have my habits, and they generally steer me toward the same set of choices over and over again. For Disneyland Eats, that won’t do. It’s something new, all the time.
I’m very happy to report that the parks contain a lot of gems – if you’re willing to look for them.
Exhibit A: The French 75.
This is a gin cocktail, served at The Lounge At Steakhouse 55. I don’t always love gin drinks, but in this case – ho-lee-cow, it’s delicious. Think of it as a chilled, gin-inflected lemonade, served up with a twist. It’s clear, cold, and super-easy drinking. Spectacular. Not too sugary, not too bitter – it’s right in that zone of “super refreshing” and “clearly alcoholic.”
Try one. And then, once you’ve tasted it, and grin kicks in … try another one.
Recommended. All the way.
