I’ll cut to the chase: the Moscow Mule at Surfside Lounge is a reasonable cocktail.
If you’re a Moscow Mule fan, then you know they’re simple drinks: vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. (The gimmick with the Mule is that it’s customarily served in a copper cup.) Yet despite the basic ingredients, I’ve had plenty of Mules that disappoint – too boozy, too weak, strange aftertaste.
Surfside’s entry is credible: well-mixed, well-balanced, and fairly strong. Solid. Refreshing. Got the job done. It was a bright spot amongst an otherwise sadz-making meal.
If you like vodka cocktails, I recommend the Surfside Lounge’s Moscow Mule. The bartenders know what they’re doing.
