You can get the Scampi with one of three kinds of pasta: Campanelle, Spaghetti, or Fettuccini. We ask about the options, and learn that the Campanelle is a twisted tube of pasta. The waiter likes it. We say yes.
The plate arrives, and smells wonderful.
First up: the pasta. It’s light and well-cooked (not overdone).
Second: the shrimp. There’s six of them in the dish, each prepared perfectly.
Third: the sauce. The dish comes with a light cream-based sauce. It’s good. Not too overwhelming or goopy. It adds flavor all over the place.
In short: this is delicious. All the ingredients work together. It’s a very balanced dish. The flavor is augmented by a hint of citrus, and a sprinkling of chili flakes. (Good news: unlike, say, the Forest of Endor, these chili flakes aren’t running wild).
After a few bites, Elaine smiled at me and said, “this is a winner.” I totally agree. A very easy recommend. Try it.
