It’s a fine Sunday afternoon at the parks. We are enjoying a delightful lunch at Wine Country Trattoria. We’re seated outside, the sun is out, and the temperature is a perfect 73 degrees. A light breeze is going. There’s slightly-cheesy electro-jazz music being pumped through the Califoria Adventure speaker system. It feels like vacation. Time for a beverage.
Wine Country Trattoria has a a modest selection of beer, a wide selection of wine, and the standard Disney cocktail menu. I’m trying to find something that feels summery and light.
I notice the Red Sangria.
The drink arrives, iced, in a wine glass. It’s a gorgeous dark red. Comes with a lemon rind, a small orange, and a lime. A straw classes everything up.
This is a super-refreshing, easy-drinking vacation beverage. There’s a slight hit of cinnamon. The citrus flavors complement the flavor of the wine. It’s a bit boozier than I expected, but not uncomfortably so. And after the first taste, I’m looking forward to the rest of the drink. Great stuff.
This is a simple, easy, credible and relaxing adult beverage. Perfect for a hot day. Recommended.
