None of this prepared us for the sheer … unbridled … size(!) of the Cobb Salad.
This is Disneyland Eats. We’re freaking professionals. We finish the good dishes, and leave the bad ones where we found ’em. We never, ever need a doggy bag for leftovers.
This is a huge salad. Gigantic. The Godzilla of salads. It’s a bed of lettuce, smothered under a rainbow of egg, chicken, avocado, tomato, bacon and blue cheese crumbles. The volume of food is astounding. It feels like this salad was bolted together from three lesser salads.
It’s also … damn tasty.
The bacon is crispy. The blue cheese is tangy. The egg is … eggy. The chicken is moist and perfectly cooked. The tomatoes and avocado are both exactly what they should be. And the lettuce undergirding it all (assuming you excavate down that far) is perfectly acceptable.
I’ll be honest: we did our best with this salad. We ate it plain. Doctored it up with its on-the-side dressing. Had a few bites, then waited a few minutes, then went in again. And so on. In the end, we barely dented it. The salad beat us. We had to ask for a to-go box.
This dish is recommended. But bring a small soccer team with you if you want to finish it at the table.
