Turns out White Water Snacks sells a Rice Bowl. We just ate it. Turns out it’s not very good. And, also, turns out that it’s not much food. Which means we’re mid-lunch, and need to do some supplemental ordering. There’s a long, crazy day of Theme Parkin’ ahead of us, and we’ve got to keep the energy up.
We take a second look at the menu, and go with the Carnitas Quesadilla.
This is a simple-enough dish: four triangular pieces of tortilla-and-meat sandwich, drizzled with chipotle crema, served with small sides of guacamole and pico de gallo. It’s not a huge amount of food, but it smells great.
We each pick up a piece, and get to work.
The tortillas are softer than expected. The beef is moist and chewy. The flavor is good. I would have preferred the tortillas to be a bit crispier; Elaine said she prefers her Mexican food with a bit more spice. No matter. It’s doing the job. And the guacamole and pico de gallo are both adding fresh flavor to the mix.
This is not the best quesadilla I’ve ever had, but it hit the spot.
