We’ve ducked into the Carthay Circle Lounge for relaxation and refreshment. I’m a longtime fan of the Carthay’s cocktail menu, but today I want something light, refreshing, and nonalcoholic.
The menu has options. Carthay offers a number of sodas, a Shirley Temple (naturally) … and something called the “Twin Bill.”
From the description this sounds like an upgraded, upscale Arnold Palmer. Which is brilliant if true. Let’s try it.
The drink arrives and … it looks like an Arnold Palmer. It’s the color of a light iced tea, with a slice of lemon, a sprig of mint, and a straw.
I give it a sip.
Ha! This is good. Very refreshing. A tad sweet, but not too sugary. Disney says they’re adding “organic Agave nectar” to boost the flavor, and that jibes with what my tastebuds are telling me. It feels a little decadent. I love it.
This is a nice, improved, uncomplicated take on a classic beverage. It’s delightful. Try it.
