I’m trying the Muffuletta Chopped Salad.
Now, I’d had an underwhelming salad earlier in the day. But I’m still keen on getting a good, flavorful salad before I leave the parks. We’ll see if the Muffuletta can scratch that itch.
Visually, this is a big ‘ol pile o’ greens, heaped together in the middle of a shallow white bowl. It’s topped with shaved parmesan, and has been doused with vinaigrette. It doesn’t have a lot of curb appeal.
I spear the first bite, and … hey! This is great!
Simple ingredients: a basic lettuce mix, yes, but also ham, salami, provolone cheese, olives, and the parmesan. But what ties it all together is the vinaigrette. It’s a light, refreshing dressing, not overdone.
Each mouthful is exactly what you hope for from a good salad: a mix of ingredients, flavors, and textures, without being too monotonous or heavy. I enjoyed every bite of this, and came away from the table feeling refreshed and happy.
I would gladly eat this again. If you’re craving a straightforward, unpretentious, high-quality salad, you won’t go wrong here. Recommended for sure.
