Turns out the Trattoria also serves fish.
I wasn’t in the mood for pasta. So when I spotted “Salmon” at the top of the menu (“Served with roasted potatoes, tomatoes and arugula salad, with a dill-buter cream sauce”), I was in.
For your money, you get a nice-sized fillet. It smells great. There’s a small lake of the creamy dill sauce on the side, with potatoes, tomatoes and arugula arranged artfully around the fish.
The first bite comes in, and … it’s excellent. Just excellent. The salmon is moist and pink, with a hard crusty top. Each bite stands tall. And, should you want it, the dill sauce makes a wonderful accessory.
The arugula, tomatoes and potatoes are also good. The potatoes and tomatoes are warm, as you’d expect; the arugula is mostly there as counterpoint texture.
This is a super, super easy recommend. It’s warm and fresh and wonderful and exactly what I hoped it would be when I ordered it.
