Um … no. Not at all.
Disney’s been really, really good about putting a wide variety of food into the parks. Yes, you can get typical theme park food if you want it. No problem there. But if you’ve got a few extra dollars in your pocket, and are looking for quality, it’s available.
For instance: the Unagi Glazed Skuna Bay Salmon at the Carthay Circle Restaurant.
This is a perfectly cooked, exceptionally fresh, and delicious piece of fish. It’s sitting atop a ring of glaze, accompanied by a few vegetables and some fat pieces of bacon. It’s one of those dishes where you cut a piece, put it in your mouth, and feel the fish almost melt on the tongue. It made me incredibly happy.
It’s also $39. (That’s a lot of burgers and fries and churros.)
This is classic, fresh, fine dining, done Disney style. If you want this (and can afford it), you’ll love it.
