Once in a while, you go with the pasta.
Menus can be confusing and overwhelming. You read, “Lamb kabob, pickled artichokes, roasted peppers, hummus” and ask yourself: am I actually in the mood for that?
Pasta is easier. Pasta has it going on. It’s warm. It’s got happy-making carbohydrate goodness. It usually comes with a meaty, tomato sauce. All of these things are great. And, when they’re done well, they’re nearly perfection.
It’s exactly the right thing to have after a long day of walking around a theme park.
Enter: the Golden Duck Tomato Bolognese at the Carthay Circle Restaurant.
It’s well-cooked. Slightly spicy. Enjoys the company of fava beans. And it has a good, lingering flavor that just rolls around the mouth, delivering dividends long after you’ve finished your bite.
It’s great, is what I’m saying.
Well-balanced, well-conceived, and well-executed.
